Harriet’s path to the UK wasn’t a straight line. After a successful interview in Cape Town, she was ready to begin her new life immediately, full of excitement and anticipation.
“I was ready to pack my bags and start my new life abroad—ideally, as quickly as ‘yesterday.’ But life had a different timeline in mind.”
A Full Year of Waiting
What she thought would take weeks turned into months… and then a full year. The delays tested her resolve in ways she hadn’t expected.
“There were moments when hope felt out of reach. Even with consistent support from the incredible MMA team—especially Chrizelda and the other team leaders, the waiting period felt like an eternity. There were times I wondered if it would ever happen.”
But she never gave up. Instead, Harriet used that season of uncertainty to grow, reflect, and hold onto what mattered most.
“Looking back now, I realise that the waiting wasn’t wasted time. It became a season of preparation—a time for reflection, growth, and deep meditation.”
A Dream Arrives, Right on Time
When her move to the UK finally came through, the experience exceeded every expectation.
“It all came together so beautifully, almost as if it was orchestrated perfectly from the start.”
